First you'll have to upload your photos somewhere. Newer product pages allow you to upload them directly there, but otherwise you'll have to go with something else. A lot of people use photobucket, flickr, and imageshack, with albums set to private, but you can also create a blog specifically for hosting pictures and that way you know they'll never get deleted.
Once you've got your photos uploaded somewhere, you'll want to take the direct image link, which is sometimes located near the photo after uploading. If you aren't sure, you can always right click and copy image location. Then you'll want to come back here and put it in this formatting, but with the outer brackets reversed from ][ to []: ]img|directimagelocation[
You can also hover your mouse over the little pink 'i' at the upper right corner of any text box and get a refresher.

I'm going to add to what Sam said with a bit more specifics.
I use photobucket. I upload my photos on there and I edit them by doing "auto fix" and then cropping them so they're just the way I want. Then I use the "direct link" option to get the address to the picture.
Once I've done that - then I come back here and do my review. When it comes time to insert my picture I do it this way:
If you look a the links and formatting information - I use the first bracket with the img and follow it with the "|" which is right above the caps lock.
So mine would be something like
(the beginning of the link) photobucket address.html
followed by the closed bracket
There is no space between then "|" and the address. By the way, the "|" is found right above your caps lock and you need your caps on to get it.
I hope this helps.
