Maybe it's just me but it seems like there have been fewer new toys for men being introduced lately and that there have also been fewer reviews (for men's toys). Does it seem that way to you?
Have there been fewer new toys for men being introduced lately?

I guess yes in a way I have noticed less for men. But I haven't been on the market specifically for men's toys. I'm also looking at gifts for my partner. Although I would love to see a couple more additions to the realistic vagina's for men, one's that are designed to actually take the whole length of the penis Also I would love to see a few new additions to the toy boxes, some that are at larger.

I think with all the new lingerie and beauty products, it looks like there are less toys in general being added. (I didn't vote, though, because I haven't been watching for men's products specifically.)
I don't know if it's actually that way, or just perception, though.

Didn't vote, as there are by far too many I'm sure I've never heard of or seen. But in general, I would guess that there are tons more for women if you count in lingerie, etc.

i really wanna get my bf something but there aren't many new ones that i like that i can choose from

I thought it was always this way. :/

I've noticed this too.

It does seem like the pickings are slim, but it has always seemed like they make far less products for men than women. Maybe the guys on EF should start making their own products and EF could sell them...

I agree it's been a lot of beauty and lingerie products and most of the toys I can recall coming out as new have been geared toward women. Maybe not always but there is an uneven ratio going on.

I guess maybe there are less toys for men in general? That we can use and enjoy. It's not like we are jumping all over the curved g spot vibrators lol.

I'm glad that it wasn't just my imagination - as men's toys are what I usually watch, things have seemed very, very quiet lately. I don't even have anything to review Last year at this time, it seemed like there were a lot more new things for guys. Maybe it's the economy and toy manufacturers aren't putting out new things. It has just seemed very quiet lately.

It does seem like that. I recently joined the site but I have been coming here for a long time.
I watch mens toys for my gent.

I am not a guy, but I have come up with items for my husband that I made from others that haven't worked out. Does that count?

I am trying to shop for him for Christmas and yes, the mens toys are slim.

I didn't see anything new for guys - just some more reviews (there are now 13 of them) for a freebie cock ring

Its just like a department store... 2 floors for women's clothing and 2 rounders for men's clothing.

There was a new nexus toy in the product search yesterday and some briefs. Okay It's not much but maybe it's a sign of better things to come? I'll hold out hope for the men on this sight!

As a woman, I'm always disappointed there's not more for men. I do my best to be creative with other things by thinking outside of the box, but it's still difficult.

It's a woman-centered business when it comes to toys and a man-centered business when it comes to adult movies. Breaking the trends would probably benefit both sexes.
12/09/2011
I didn't vote because I think some prostate toys, cock rings and sleeves were recently added. I am not sure how it is compared to before.
12/16/2011
Not really, but the little I have noticed is probably due to the lingerie in which case Im Not complaining. Before lingerie wasn't ever hardly available for review so I'm glad we're able to do so for a little while. There have been tons of those harness things and male shorts and butt toys added in the past couple of months.
12/16/2011
There has been a very notable difference in the number of new toys for me - it almost seems like the manufacturers aren't creating new ones.
12/19/2011
Yep!

yes

Very astute observation! I hadn't thought of it in those terms, but it does seem to be the case.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of creative innovation going on in men's toys. Women's toys moved on from being just about rubber penises a long time ago. But for men, it's still: 'Oh, it should look like a vulva / mouth / anus' when they design sleeves. I know men are supposed to be more visual, but I suspect that if they want to pretend they are fucking a real person, they do the same as us girls do and close their eyes, rather than looking at the mouth shaped opening and being turned on by that. (Correct me if I'm wrong, guys!) Tenga seems to be one of the few manufacturers that doesn't assume that a male toy should look like an orifice.
Hopefully some good designers will put their minds to the problem and come up with some real innovations.
