How often do you grab a new to EF item for your order? Do you do it for the item or to get the first review out on it?

An EF friend and I were messaging about one of the new items on the site and she told me that another person grabbed these items to get one of the first reviews on it published. I thought that was silly--they should really want the item, not worry about what order the review is in. So--to settle a fun bet, please help out and answer....

Do you grab a new item for the first review, or first five?

Do you care what order your reviews are--first, fourth, twentieth...or just write it to help with more info?

If I want it I'll get it if not I won't. I like to read a few reviews on the things I'm am buying, especially high-end, but I also know that someone has to be the first to review it. I write my reviews to give my opinion on the toy, does not matter what order it is in.

All I really buy are new items because a) I have all the old stuff I want and b) people want reviews on new items. I don't have to be the *first* to review it, but if it's new I try to get a review out quicker than I would an older item I randomly picked up. I wouldn't get something I wouldn't like just to be the first to review it though.

Depends on whether the items I want are on sale, etc.

i like getting the new items just to try them out and to add a review for them. but i don't care what number my review is. I really just want to help in some way with my review.

I want to get something I think I'll like cuz I want to write as positive a reivew as possible. I don't want to "get" for the sake of getting or write to just be writing reviews. I want to make a postivie contribution to EF and all who read my reviews. otherwise it's just meaningless - or worse.

I like to try the new items and the old items equally. I will admit there is more pressure for me to put out a review if it is the first one--but I honestly try not to think of that. Strangely, a DR has none of the pressure that a review on newer items has--do not know why.

I don't care if my review is 1st or 50th. We've tried a lot of stuff in the last year and now we're getting a little more selective in what we order, so it has to be something we both want, and not just something to review.
