On my wall I would like to delete some of the discussions Ive posted or atleast hide them. I always leave Eden up on my comp. and some of those questions are about my partner..I dont really want him seeing them!So I guess its my own fault and shouldnt leave the page up but Im always going back and forth on here so its easier!
#AskEden - Is there a way of deleting discussions you have posted?

So far as I'm aware once it's posted it's up unless a mod takes it down. Someone else can chime in if I'm wrong though.

You will have to contact a moderator and ask them to remove it for you, or at least lock the thread so people stop responding and it doesn't get 'bumped.' There's no way to remove threads yourself. Sorry to hear about the problem you're having! Good luck!

As far as I know you can't, but if you are using Firefox you can go into the history and manually delete those specific pages if you are really worried about it.

Hello! Administrators will remove posts only in the following situations:
- The post violates Expecations of Conduct or contains personal information (like real name, address, work place information).
Because posts are associated with points, we feel it isn't fair to allow people to post things, contact a moderator to remove it, and still keep the points. This is, in part, why contributors do not have the ability to remove the post on their own.
If the situation is extreme, we will consider it. As standard practices go, moderators will not remove posts without good cause.
Our advice to contributors is to be sure they are comfortable with the content of the post before hitting submit! Thank you!

What about if we want to delete comments that people left on our own page? For example, those irritating "following" comments.

If you would like the option to delete things posted on your own wall, that would be a great suggestion to make in this thread: community suggestions.

Having the ability to delete what you posted on someone else's wall wouldn't be approved, in order to prevent abuse.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind if I had to pay EF back points to remove something. I would even understand if they wanted to charge a premium (for example, if I got 5 pts for a post, but had to pay 6 pts to remove it).
EF doesn't want everyone to go on a deletion binge, but sometimes contributors get caught up in the moment and post things that are better left private. I think a tiny amount of leeway would be an improvement to the system.

That's an interesting idea. This will definitely be brought up at our next meeting. Thank you!

That is a good idea ..I would be willing to take points away to delete them. Its not that big of a deal..It was when I didnt realize you could put the discussions in the forum..so they are just at the bottom of my wall.I guess I just wont leave my page up anymore so I dont have to worry about him seeing them! Not all are about him but somethings are best left uncovered and usually thats the stuff I ask opinions on Eden (complete strangers).Thanx for answering my question though!
