#AskEden - Free assignment product is discontinued... now what?

Contributor: Lady of the Lab Lady of the Lab
I found a product for the first time that I could review as a free assignment. It was shipped out earlier this week and I decided to check the product page to verify the number of pages, etc. However, I was surprised to see the product had been discontinued.

I've submitted a support ticket (with no response) asking: "What is the point of reviewing a product that no one else will be able to buy?" and "Do I get to keep the book?".

Have you had this happen to you?

This hasn't happened to me, but you're still required to do the review. Lots of people review things that are discontinued because a) it may come back at some point in the future and b) people use EF to search for reviews for products available from other sites. So the review could still be useful to some.

I had done the same for a massage candle that EF never carried (but had listed). You'll still get points and credit for doing the review, and - like Kira said - it'll either be carried later on or be available as a review for other people to consult. You'll definitely get to keep the product.

Mmk. I wasn't be level-headed about the value of still going ahead with the review.

I had this happen to me pretty much right now as I was getting prepared to write my review. It's good to know that I still write the review!

This happened to me too! But it won't let me write the review. Where do I click to write it?

You should be able to start the review if you go to Assignments and not the Assignment Cart.
