#AskEden - Adding A Product Widget to an Offsite Review

Contributor: *Camoprincess* *Camoprincess*
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to generate the widget for an item to add to my blog. I have seen these widgets on other blogs that shows the name, price, rating and safety of the material. I have search all over on how to do this but can't find it anywhere. Any help would be great

I think what you're talking about are the widgets from the Affiliate program. Sign up for the program if you haven't already, and then:

In the top right corner of your EF page, where it says "Contributor" and "Assignment Cart", click on "Contributor" and change it to "Affiliate".

Find the products you want in your windowpane widget, go to their product pages, and click on "Grab It" just to the right of "Affiliate". It's just like grabbing an assignment item.

After you've chosen all the items you want, click on "Desktop", it's next to where "Grab It" is/was.

Scroll down and click on the green box, "Add New Widget".

Choose one of the four types. I think what you're describing is the lower right, "Flash Verson #2".

It will say "No Products In Widget", and beneath that under "Available Products", you will see your "grabbed" items. Click "+ Add to Widget" next to each one. On the same page, click "NEXT"

You will go to "Widget Wizard Step 4" which is basically a preview screen, so you can make sure it's what you want it to look like. You can click on an item and it will open up to more information like you mentioned in your post. If you like the way it looks, click "NEXT"

You will see the code that you can copy and paste onto your blog page. Copy it and paste it, and voila! You have your widget.

If it's something else you're looking for, I don't have a clue how to do it.
