#AskEden - Comparing products in a review?

Contributor: Genderfree Genderfree
I was thinking that if I got 2 different, similar butt plugs some time in the future I'd want to write a comparative review. Is it even possible to do that? For example, explaining in the review the differences in the toys and having the same review for both products? Or, rather, would you just have to compare briefly and have each review have specific information about the particular product?

I know that there are a lot of toys that are VERY similar and the reviews sound just about the same, so I thought this would be a cool idea. For example, the Velvet Plush Pleaser and the Neo.

Do you mean write a review and just simply compare the products say in your experience section? I do this all the time.

You actually could do that & just use your personal comments & experience section to really delve deep in about them both rather than writing two very similar reviews. I actually highly enjoy writing reviews like that. I don't see anything wrong with you doing that. It'd be an interesting review to me.

When writing a review, you can totally compare other products in the review. You can even link the other product in the review. However, because the system is set up how it is, you can only really review one product per review.

You can't have the same review for both products, but you CAN use your personal comments and experience sections to compare the two items.

I have mentioned comparisons of similar products while reviewing, but I wouldn't try to use one review to compare two specific products; it kind of defeats the purpose of spotlighting one particular product. If there are significant features that invite comparison, I'd rather see a link to a separate review, that way I can use the Compare feature and see the pros and cons laid out side by side.
