#Rumble-Community Sponsored

Contributor: BlackOrchid BlackOrchid
Wondering if anyone would be interested in a community sponsored Rumble.

I have nothing to offer except for points. I'd create a $5 or even $10 dollar Gift Card and private message the winner with the code.

Is there any interest from anyone else in doing this?

Awesome idea! I think that even without the incentives, this is a great motivator for the community.

I may be wrong, but I think...I recall reading that gift cards generated using Eden points are NOT transferable.

that is correct, although it's a nice offer, I don't think it would work

It is non-transferable unfortunately, but it is a great idea.

I mean, we could still try to do a rumble of sorts? We won't be able to offer anything, really, except sheer gratitude, but it would be something to pull everyone together while we are without upper management.

yup, can't make the transfer. and I agree, it's a great idea. maybe you can contact Ilya or maybe even Fred & ask him how to proceed w/ your idea.

I have no idea what a "rumble" is, in this sense of the word. Anyone willing to enlighten me?

We used to do these weekly "rumbles" and nominate and vote on reviews that we all think are really great. The winner would get a gift card. It was a great way to bring the community together, for us all to read and celebrate great reviews and members, and for us to have fun!

I''m willing to do this! I don't actually have money to buy sex toys but it'd be much appreciated to receive points to convert into a gift card.

I'd be willing to put my points toward sponsoring something like this if it were allowed.

I think there is still a way that we could do this as a community. I mean, the points that we have ourselves cannot be transferred to another person, but there has got to be SOMETHING that we can offer up to get the excitement going, yeah?

Well, I think the recognition from the community would be nice enough for a start. Would this be open for all members to vote on or just advanced ?

I think that the Rumble has always been open for all users? I believe that I got my first Rumble win before I got Advanced status.

Recognition would be great! I think just the personal satisfaction is good enough for most of us that are here, honestly.

I think it should be open to ALL users who have submit a review. We could dedicate one thread to the user or users that win, that way we can celebrate them in their own special way.

Yes, the Rumble was open to all reviewers regardless of Advanced status.

Hey, check out the other thread because even though the rumble was cancelled for now, I have an idea (or twelve, lol) to offer $25 gift cards in a different sort of rumble, one where you nominate your own review from any you've ever written and you pay a small fee to enter. Those fees (say $2.50 or less -- if more are interested in entering, the price could be less, but the minimum gift card amount is $25) are all put in the pot and the winner gets all of it in the form of a gift card at least in the amount of $25, though it can be more depending on how much we collect that rumble. I fleshed out my idea in the following thread and answer questions there. Mention your ideas there or send me a PM if you like!
