That really is up to you. Don't listen to others, but do what you feel is right. If you need time to yourself to heal, do that. If you want to date, do that, too. If you want a break for a few years or wait until your daughter is a certain age, that's great too. No one can tell you what to do or how to feel, only you know what is best for you.

"everyone" needs to mind their own business. Do what you feel comfortable with, when you feel comfortable doing it.

Goth pretty much hit the nail on the head there. Your friends shouldn't be trying to force you to move on. You decide when you're ready to move on and date. There is no set time frame on it either, so you shouldn't feel like you have to start dating or anything like that after a certain amount of time. Just do what feels right for you.
I'm very sorry for your loss, and I'm sending lots of hugs your way.

Absolutely date. I wouldn't judge you for doing so. You are young and the best thing you can do for yourself and your daughter is have more love in your life. BUT ONLY if you are ready. Rushing into something isn't going to help anything.

I think you should date but when you feel ready to. Don't let others pressure you to, just try to go along with your life, enjoy your little one. When the right person comes along YOU will know it, you'll feel like you want to get to know them.
Good luck.
