I love the idea of casual sex from an abstract view. I think it would be really interesting to explore lots of different people since sexuality is so beautiful and diverse. In practice though I really don't ever do this. I have to have a deep intellectual connection to someone to find them attractive and I generally don't feel safe with strangers. I enjoy sex so much more within relationships.

I'd rather have sex in a relationship. It might not be as spontaneous or offer as much of a switch up, but at least it's regular!

I would rather be in a relationship to have sex. I don't do the one night stand or friends with benefits thing. I value my body to much for that, and have kids that I have to be around for.

I need to know someone well enough to a) be able to trust what they say about their STI status and discuss safe sew with them and b) feel secure in the fact that they will respect my body boundaries, pronoun preference, and gender identity. I tend to have an easier time getting all those bases covered when I'm in a relationship with the person.

However, I'm polyamorous, so I still date multiple people at once sometimes, and that rocks, too. Best of both! =P
