My wife and I are going to have our 9th aniversery toward the end of Oct. I want to make it romantic but yet exciting both in and out of the bed room. We really need some time away from the kids. Im looking for some good ideas that can be done on a limited budget.

Firstly, Congrats! As the mother of 4 children, I know exactly what you mean by needing some time out and also the limited budget part. What my husband and I do is every year on our anniversary we go and stay in a motel for the night (as we didn't have a honey moon because we chose to take one night every year and honey moon for the rest of our lives rather than one big bang!) and enjoy each others company with bubbles, spa bath, quality alone time, looking through our wedding photos, video (to always remember the promises we made to each other) sensual body massages (that we can give each other) and all round just enjoy each others company and remembering the day we married. The last couple of years have been abit tight on the money side of things, but it doesn't mean you can't farm out the kids and do all of those things in your own home....shut the doors, close the curtains, unplug the phone and enjoy. I wish you a wonderful anniversary x0x
