Do you think throwing on a pair of silk sheets is a great way to spice things up in the bedroom?

Have never tried them. I can see it adding to the fun, so go for it.

I haven't tried them either but I want to!

Not for me.

Hate the texture, and all that sliding around! Goes for faux silk and satin and so on as well.

I like the feeling of sleeping on silk, but I would be terrified of some mishap where I'd slide off. Would rather have silk pajamas.

I don't like silk sheets at all! If you roll around a lot in silky pajamas you can even make sparks from the friction. lol. All the sliding around is annoying and they don't stay on the bed. Also, I like warm snuggly cozy sheets and silky sheets make me cold.

do not like silk sheets
04/28/2012
Not to sleep on that's for sure, darn things don't stay on the bed.

would be interesting. but have never tried.

Nope, because when I jump on the bed I don't want to slide off the other side.

I like them

No thanks. They slide off the bed, and they can get rather sticky when body temps heat up.

No thank you! I pretty my cotton sheets to silk sheets, as they aren't slippery, don't slide off the bed, or make you fall off the bed either. Also our cats liked to use them as a scratching post!

Meh, I guess it depends on the mood and season.

I voted other because while I love silk and silk sheets my Partner hates the feeling of silk so I'd ask your partner (or have them feel something else silk) first.

I can definitely see the appeal in it, and would even like to try it one day, but at this point in time it's just not feasible. Our mattress is extremely heavy (a tempurpedic), and to try to lift it enough to strip the sheets, make the bed, do the deed, strip again, and remake it would just be too much of a hassle. And leaving the sheets until the next day would be a huge no-no with the kids.

I have never tried them. But will be.

They feel nice on the skin and I love a very light sheet, but as far as getting really into it I can see the draw backs.

I haven't tried silk sheets, but I did have satin ones at one point (I think they were satin, anyway. What do I know. I was a teenager). I didn't like all the sliding. As an adult, I like cotton sheets.

I like the silky feel of them, but they come off the bed and are on the floor by the time you're done with playtime and you finish off on the mattress itself in my experience.

I dont like how they slide.

I always get really hot when I sleep so silk or satin sheets help keep me cool. I don't own any myself though.
08/08/2012
No way
08/08/2012
I have satin sheets on my bed and it annoys the hell out of me. Too much sliding around.
08/08/2012
never tried them. they seem really slippy

Silk is gross and satin is slippery. Knit sheets are comfy but they look like hell. I like flannel but my hubby sleeps really hot. We prefer 250+ Egyptian cotton. It feels good, looks pretty, and wears well.
Currently we are trying out "high performance" temperature regulating sheets from a certain company known for having beds that are customizable for firmness. The sheets aren't cotton but they are far more comfortable than expected. They wick away moisture...

I like them! They are a bit slippery, but bed clips solve the problem of them falling off. It's nice when you're wearing lingerie and you can just slide against the sheets
