Have you had a sexual awakening or have you "always" been sexually alive? For years sex was a chore for me. Now I want it all the time.

I've always been very sexual, but I think I experienced something akin to an awakening when I met my husband. I was young, and my previous experiences had been with guys where were equally inexperienced. My husband is older than me, and he helped open up a new world of sexual experiences for me. There were quite a few things I hadn't tried until I tried them with him.

I have always been highly sexual, but after I had my son, I went through a period of time (10 years) where I was dealing with medical issues (most of those years were spent trying to convince my doctors I was not crazy and that there was something seriously wrong with me...they finally figured out I had a large brain tumor, then there was surgery, years of recovery, and then an MS diagnosis) and trying to find balance in the midst of chaos can kill a libido. Balance has finally returned and I am highly sexual once more. Thank God!

I guess you could say I had an awakening. Not that I was ever sexually repressed, but in my current relationship I've gotten into toys more and have discovered that I can very easily have multiple orgasms on a regular basis. So in that aspect, a whole new world has kind of opened up for me, and I like it!

I like how you phrase your third option. I was pretty sexual as a small child, and then got turned off of it by some school education. Then I recently had another awakening. Hoorah!

Before having kids I was VERY sexual after having my kids not so much but now that my youngest is a year I am starting to rediscover how wonderful sex can be

As a young girl in high school and before that I guess...I was always attracted to guys...Until!!! One night at a party a really popular girl in school started to hang with me and later that night got me alone and she seduced me and it was so awesome!!! I was a sophomore...she was a senior..I didn't have sex with a guy until my senior year..So that was the begining of my bisexual life..

I've always been rather sexual, but kind of shy and guarded about it with boyfriends at first. However, I did experience an 'awakening' of sorts at one point, and now am much more open and comfortable about my kinks and sex in general.

I was always very sexual, but never found anyone who was as open-minded as me. In a way, I experienced a sexual awakening when I met my current boyfriend. He is also extremely open-minded, and with him, we have been able to experiment in ways I had never even considered.

I never masturbated before I had become sexually active with my boyfriend, so that was a kind of awakening. But that doesn't seem like the type of thing you're talking about. Once I'd started having sex, I never stopped wanting it.

I actually spent most of my life as an asexual with no libido, no sexual interest or desire whatsoever, and not masturbating. I know that there are people who stay asexual (not experiencing sexual attraction) for their whole lives, but there is also this concept I learned from my time in the community about orientation fluidity, where things might change. There were also some people who supported the idea of a "second puberty" in your early 20s that can affect your orientation, libido, etc.
I completely shifted from having no interest or desire or anything to being the go-to resource for my friends who need masturbation or sex advice...they're really shocked at how much I know and how much I researched when I wasn't interested.
But yeah, I definitely had a sexual awakening when I started feeling all the sexual feelings. It was so weird for me, and still is. I'm kind of ashamed at my lack of experience, but I'm making up for lost time buying toys and learning things.
