I've taken meds that decrease my sex drive. I count this as one of my "non-acceptable" side effects. After a while, I spoke to my doctor and had him switch me to a different medication. When he seemed confused as to what to do, I switched doctors altogether. Now I'm on a cocktail that works and doesn't decrease my sex drive. I don't know what your husband needs meds for though to know if there are alternative options available for this to be an option.

I'm on meds that do this to, it really sucks! My boyfriend HATES it! I would like to hear others stories as well on what to do. There are no other medicine options for me, I have a thyriod problem and it can cause low sex drive anyways, it sucks!

the only thing i could really recommend besides trying different meds would be to try and spice things up a bit with either toys or some sexy cloths and foreplay.

Some herbal things can raise sex drive. Try looking into that?

I've experienced that w/ my ex husband. It was terrible, he was bi polar and needed the meds. I understand that, and I could even live w/ the bi polar, but I couldn't live without sex. Hince the ex. WE still get along great, but I needed what he couldn't give me.

Ya i understand that he isnt bi polar and the meds he is on is the 2nd strongest thing out their and when he isnt on his meds its.... not so safe... so there is no question of wether or not he can take them or anything out there that he can change. I think I will try the herbal stuff. Thank you Submissive Feminist.

If your partner is on pschoactive meds please don't experiment with herbals. They are as powerful as prescribe meds and could really interfere with the effects.
I suggest exploring sensuality and sensations, such as starting with a massage that leads to something sexual.

-nod nod- ok =3 but I was meaning more along the lines of trying herbal stuff to increase sex drive. Like I said I cant change him from his meds. (nor would I want to)
But trying a massage is a great idea if he would let me get close to him =/

I would bring it up to his doctor. They might have a different med for the same thing that wouldn't have the same sexual side effects.
