Making your SO Jealous ?

Contributor: OH&W, Lovebears OH&W, Lovebears
Have you ever tried to use someone, movie star, former lover, acquaintance, co- worker, etc to make SO jealous ? Did it work ? Or did it get you in the dog house ?

I love to tease OW with, "This girl gave me second and third looks at the gym tonight" or "Wow, you should have seen this gal in her tight tight yoga pants !"

Wisely, I've never made former gfs lovemaking comparisons. I'm a tease, but not a certified DUMMY.

Has your partner ever done this to you ?

Mmmm...I have to tread a little lightly in this area. I'm much more relaxed and can take a little light banter from the husband if/when he mentions getting some attention from an attractive woman or if he should joke about someone being HOT. Not that he does it often. Now, with him, it's a little different. He doesn't like it as much, so I need to be a little aware of what I'm saying to him so I don't take it too far or ruffle him too much. He's very much protective when it comes to me. What's his is his---period lol.

No, I'm in a unique situation. I am her first boyfriend. When I'm by my self or with friends, I don't mind the attention from others so much, but, when I'm with my partner, I don't like it at all. When we were a few years younger, my partner would wear cuter clothes and when we would get separated, I would tell her which guys were checking her out. I did it to inflate her ego. After all, when you are HOT and you know it, I think it should be celebrated.

I'm a relaxed kind of guy and not too much bothers me, so even if she were to compare me to another guy she might have dated it wouldn't bother me.

I never talk about my exes and what I did with them to my current partner. I feel that it is none of her business and kinda rude to do so. I don't even want the idea that I'm comparing her to someone else to enter her mind.

Being admired is always flattering . I like it from a distance, walking into a room, being able to catch the eye of a stranger, either male or female, is exhilarating! Probably why I love formal events so much . I always find that one dress that is guaranteed to draw a breath. Then, being on the arm of my husband, seeing him equally stunning. Looking at the women as they see him. Yeah, that's a turn on. Seeing other people's desire, knowing none of them have a chance with either of us, a wee intoxicating. I suppose I use us for the thrill lol.

Although, as far as movie stars go, Nicollete Sheridan has always been his fantasy since he was younger lol. I used to have to hear her name often. She's a bit 'weathered' now though.

That is wise of you....women do not like that idea, that they are being compared at all. I don't think men do either, but with men, you can judge your SO to see if it bothers him terribly.

My ex-gf was bi, so oddly sometimes she'd bring attention to how attractive a woman was in passing... but I think a lot of it was self confidence as she knew I would never cheat and that I found her beautiful. And we could then share in mutual observation of beauty of others around us. Mind you we'd do it for really attractive guys too

Same thing with movies, I should ask my current girlfriend about it as I've found myself doing it sometimes with her... especially when a handsome shirtless guy is in the show we're watching or most recently we watched Underworld & Underworld Evolution and I made a joke about how tight the leather pants were on Kate Beckinsale and how it'd likely take an hour to get her out of them. Again after the sex scene in Underworld Evolution, as was like did we just miss an hour while she was put back in those tight pants?

But in both cases I never tried to make my partner jealous or indicate they were in anyway less attractive to someone else. Might be rose colored glasses but when in a relationship my SO is always the most attractive person to me.

I've never tried to make my wife jealous simply because she has a jealous streak. It was pretty bad when we first got together and stupid at the same time over my ex simply cause we had a child together. I wanted nothing else to do with that crazy woman and couldn't understand why my wife back then girlfriend was so jealous

It's fun to do but definitely have to watch the line between teasing and straight up offensive. There's also a difference between stuff that happens when you are together or alone. Like if we're out to dinner and the waitress is checking him out or I think a guy at a party is into me and we tease about stuff like that. But I feel like it would be a little disrespectful if I came home and said "Gee, you should have seen the way this dude checked me out today at the store!" I don't think he'd find it flattering, lol!

Not really my thing. I point out when girls are checking him out and visa versa. Hell, since I am bi, I point out hot girls. Lol. Jealousy only comes about when it is a negative thing that needs to be discussed, but we usually handle it fairly well.

I actually ask my husband to say things like that to me because strangely it turns me on. I love feeling a little jealous as long as I know there's no actual threat. I definitely think about him with another woman sometimes just to get off ;-)
