This use to happen to me - but eventually my wife decided that having sex is both healthy and rewarding. It was tough to get through - but I never gave up trying to make her feel great when we did have sex on the theory that we gravitate toward pleasurable experiences.

I didn't think it was very helpful while it was going on - I'm just so happy that it's over.

Usually, it really depends on how hectic our lives are at the moment. For instance right know, I have started school and the hubby has started working out to make the fire department. Combine that with our everyday life and 2 kids and boom sex life dwindles. Its not that we dont want to its just that by the time its bed time we are sleep before the kids are.

Yes and I HATE it! Im at my peak, and my husband is fine w/ once a week or even every 10+ days..Getting really REALLY tired of it. I can only masterbate so much!!

Yes....i tease my husband about not wanting it til 6 months down the road cuz that is what it seems like.

The hubs and I are both of the opinion that going long periods without sex is not good for a relationship, and whether people want to realize it or not, it is a big part of marriage. Of course, every relationship is different and I would imagine some people are OK with going longer periods.

Yep. Could be weeks, due to busy schedules and exhaustion... We are just learning to make time for it as best as we can.

My longest period was when I was having complications in my pregnancy with my youngest son. We had to abstain for months, but it was all for the benefit of our baby's health.

Other than that, i don't know what you consider to be long periods weeks, months, years? We usually try at least on the weekends. He works full time, goes to school online full time, and we have two kids so it's hard to find the time so the weekend is usually when we are less stressed.
