So my lovely husband is an over the road truck driver and that means he will be gone for long periods of time. Usually weeks on end, and we may see him once a week, but that is time for the kids. How do you maintain a healthy sex life with your SO being gone?

That's a tough one - my trips are always a week or less. Try phone sex? With Skype I suppose it could be fun.

Ah I feel your pain on this one luckily though mine is on a dedicated account so we see each other if we are LUCKY once every 2 weeks. I did this with an ex to who was gone 2-3 weeks at a time on the road, we just had phone sex and sent "naughty" pictures back and forth. The guy I am seeing now we just talk about what we want when we are back in each other's arms and swap pics every so often. You can chat with me if you want (:

When my relationship was a long distance one, this is what we did. It worked out fabulously.

I feel your pain. My BF or I are often working out of town, at different times, which makes it sooooooo hard. We just try to make the best of things when we are together and talk as often as we can.

I had to deal with this issue for a few months when my hubby and I got together. We had phone sex, I took sexy and xxx rated pics and emailed them, made masturbation movies for him and emailed them, and then when he got home for his one day per week--the first one or two hours were ours. The kids went to grandma's before he got there, then at the appointed hour or so, either we grabbed them or grandma dropped them off.

oooh...that's a tough one.

I do love the ideas from js250. It kinda gives him something to look forward to throughout the day/week. Also, I would suggest making a clone-a-willy of him for you to have when he's away and maybe you could get him a masturbation toy like a Fleshlight or something.

Ah bummer he is a team driver, he can always send you things and what not when he is at the truck stop for a shower. Not to mention if the truck is running and his partner is driving with the radio up you can't hear the conversation through the curtains over the diesel engine and radio Been there done that

I had to be gone for 3 months when I changed jobs. Fortunately, I got to come home on weekends but like you say, it was kids time. Since it was during the summer, hubby took off some and went with me which was a nice treat.
I can't imagine how you feel and what you are going through. I'd say try the phone sex or Skype.

Yeah, Im hoping we can work out so type of happy situation to get through this year, cause lord know a girl got needs.
