Do you leave "I love you" notes for your loved one? Are they STORE Bought or other? In this day of $5 greeting cards, do people in long term relationships still leave little "I love you" cards around that are store bought or do you "make your own" or go to the Internet/Text message instead?
Do you leave LOVE NOTES for your significant other. If so, what kind?

I'm biased, electronic messages are most convenient in a LDR. But every now and then I'll send him something to read when he wakes up or is at work.

I buy store bought cards all the time and make my own. I know they're expensive but sometimes I just can't resist them.

I usually write love notes and such spontaneously so they are almost always home made and there are usually lots of them that I leave around the house

We text sweet things almost daily, and on occasion I'll write him little love notes and leave them on his desk to find. We've never done store-bought

I buy cute cards at Dollar Tree (cards are 50 cents!) and put them in my bfs lunch so he has a surprise at work. Sometimes I write a little note too. I always text w/him throughout the day and sometimes get a bit naughty... hee hee

i dont do texting for multiple reasons. i'll leave him love notes on occassion, anticipating a sweet night together, thanking him for being wonderful. once i left a bunch of pens forming a large heart shape on his bed.
i'm cheesy like that. but he's worth it.

My fiancee and I write little notes to each other every week!

I only give my wife store bought cards occasionally. She likes the homemade ones so much more.

I will send her a email mostly. alot easier and she can open it when ever she wants without having to worry about the kids getting it.

With my man - just plain old hand written notes, or electronic ones. But I do send store bought cards to other people. I just feel like for him, the hand written ones are more personal. And he keeps all of them, he can be sentimental.

I like mailing letters and sending cards that I make myself. I have a Cricut I cut die shapes out w/ so they're super cute. He doesn't seem to mind

Haven't thought about that in a long time, but little notes can really make your day. I'll have to surprise him again with a note, it's been a long time since we've done that. I used to make him little things that said sweet things in pretty colors and he's kept every one. He's drawn me something before and right after we lost our 1st baby I was having the roughest time and he made me a poster that said something about Thank you, but I do not need your help today. I have it all under control so you can stop stressing out about how you'll meet your family's needs and how you'll get yourself out of this mess. Promise you'll take some time to do things for yourself and do not worry about a single thing. I have this under control and do not need your help. Love always, God!
It wasn't those exact words, but something like that. He'd seen a similar message before and wrote up his own words to fit what i was going through. I came in and it was right on my wall beside the bed. While I spent my 4 days in bed, I stared at it the entire time. Very sweet.
I think it's fun to leave little post it's in the bathroom and stuff to surprise a loved one!

I wrote on post it's and put them all over like one in the bathroom that says I love because you're beautiful no matter what you put on each morning or one on the bed that says I love you because you look like and angel when you sleep etc

We sometimes do lipstick on the mirror notes. Or glow in the dark paint. For that 3AM-stumbling-around-t o-pee love note.

Depends on where we both are
07/26/2011
We don't really leave each other love notes. I think the most romantic notes we leave each other are usually "I'll do the dishes when I get home from work."

We both leave written notes but mostly text messages.

My wife and I usually have really vast and different work schedules. So it's not uncommon for her to get off late and me to work through the night so I leave post it notes all of the house. Some are dirty. Some are to let her know I'm thinking of her while I'm at work and wishing I was physically there. When are schedules are a little closer together I'll run her a bath really hot so by the time she gets home it'll be just right. Then I'll lay her out some comfy and usually barely there clothes. If she's texted me how her day went and it's been rough I'll get her her favorite comfort foods. All of my notes will lead her around to the different areas so it's like I'm there and we're playing a little game. Last week I even pulled out a couple items I got at EF to help her release some pressure. She really loves her SinFive Eve a hot bath.

I go between homemade cards and emails. Usually it is am email if I want to write a longer note and get all mushy and sentimental, and homemade if I am feeling crafty or have the "little girl" inside me want to color lol.

He often leaves me erotic hand-written messages.

haha i do leave him notes (and he has left me one i found after he left my place after a weekend together, and he wrote me a letter for my birthday rather than a card). i try to leave him a note whenever we see each other - just a bunch of ily's and mushy stuff, and he has them all bundled up together on his bulletin board <3

I make my own

I make some and put them in his lunch.

Texts mostly these days. Just make sure it's your SO before hitting send! I thoroughly embarrassed myself once; I don't think I'll ever be able to look him in the eye again!
She puts store bought cards in my lunch sometimes, always with a handwritten note, and we've always traded the same sort of cards on our anniversary and other special occasions.
