I'm amazed by how real they look and would love to perhaps have one on a trial basis just for my husband and I to experiment with, but I find them a bit creepy to keep around. It's almost like having a corpse hanging around.

My wife really wants one, but I don't see the point. Why not a mannequin if she wants to use it for dress up? She says it wouldn't be as real. But at $6,000? We need that money for college. And groceries!

This seems like a good idea for some but I just couldn't imagine shelling out that amount of money for something that in the end is fake. This reminds me of that movie... Lars and the Real Girl.

I thought these were interesting when I saw them on Sexcetera or Real Sex or something like that. They seemed really cool and a fun alternative to sex with a person or a more conventional masturbation toy for those that could afford it.
But then I saw them in person. They are insanely creepy, and they don't look as good in person as they do on the website, and they just don't seem at all sexy once it's hung up on it's 'stand' in front of you.

I am waiting for sex robots personally. Takes up to much room and for $6000 id rather buy a Sybian and handcuff my girl to it just to see her squirm.

When a person is willing to spend 6000 dollars to be with an inanimate object and prefers the doll to human companionship there is a serious problem. It's creepy as hell.

I like Angela. But I have no need or desire to get one even if they were a fraction of the price.

I think they would be super fun, but I would fuck them. I just think it would make a fun toy for dress up etc. If I ever hit the jackpot playing the lotto. I will totally waste some money on one. Then because I feel guilty for wasting the money, I will donate the equivelent amount to some worthwhile charity. Likely something std related.

Whoa! Thats a hefty pricetag :S

They had those in a movie called Lars and the Real Girl. It was a really good movie. I recommend watching it.
I think they're cool and they look great, but I personally wouldn't want one. I'd have no need for her.
I think Michelle is my favorite too. She's gorgeous!

Those things creep me out so much. I wonder if there has been a horror movie made about realistic sex dolls coming to life.

Although this makes me think of that movie, Lars and the Real Girl. That was actually a very strangely sweet movie.

A little on the pricey side...
12/11/2010
Wow, I'm saving points for a realistic vagina since i can't justify shelling out almost $200 for one, so I can't imagine ever paying $6000 for a sex toy.
12/11/2010
I don't think they're for me. They remind me a bit too much of the artwork of the Chapman (Jake & Dinos) brothers for my liking.

I'd second (third? fourth?) everyone else who is mentioning Lars and the Real Girl. It's how I first learned about Real Dolls. They're an interesting concept, but I feel like $6K is a lot to spend when you could possibly have a living breathing person for free...or less. But to each their own. For some people who are into certain things (and there's always out there into something), a Real Doll may just be the perfect solution...and if you have the money, I see no reason not to get one.
On a side note, Lars and the Real Girl was a super touching movie. The Real Doll isn't treated like a sex toy at all, and it's an interesting perspective.

They really aren't for me.

I'm too poor to pay $6,000 for anything.
12/15/2010
WAY TOO MUCH MONEY. i like em thou. be interesting to have

There's a really interesting documentary out on these, mostly about men who treat them like real girlfriends - bring them on vacation, give them names, talk to them, cuddle with them, etc. Is it better to have a real person? Of course. But I think this is great for lonely people, as long as it doesn't lead to them no longer socializing with living humans.

I was just thinking that. I didn't know there was anyone else out there besides my husband and I that saw that movie...what a weird movie!

I am torn between all the options. They are really cool and interesting, but for the price I am sure they are probably a let down. 6 grand is a lot of money, and I do like humans... so all of the above.

This is where Chobits begins.... and when we actually get to realistic looking cyborgs, then I'll be impressed. Those just don't look realistic enough to me and they kind of creep me out because of it. I mean, I understand why people might want to use them, but they don't really look 100% anatomically correct... especially the guys. They're just not sexy.
12/16/2010
That's a lot of money, and also a real person would always be preferable
