I'm always up for trying new things, and I'd be all for it if my nipples weren't pierced. I don't know if it matters but the thought of the two things together scares the hell out of me!
Does anyone beside me think this sounds sexy?

PLEASE read the entire thread, from the beginning! I'm a lactation consultant and have posted at least 2 or 3 posts, the first on the first page of this thread, about half way down, the second on page 3 more than half way down, about WHY people relactate (to feed infants) and why it is NOT healthy or easy or even a good idea to do it otherwise. It is a huge time and energy commitment, and even women who want to do it to feed a hungry infant often do not succeed, and that a cheap or old pump, with inconsistent negative pressure and cycle times can ruin your breasts. This is really not something to play with. Really.

YES!!! It's so hot. I have a huge lactation fetish and have wanted to get all swollen and milky again. I've read that you can lactate again by nipple stimulation and pumping and also that there are certain herbs and drugs you can take to help... I'm not really sure how safe the drugs are? But I'm thinking since they are designed for breast feeding mothers they can't be harmful. If anyone has anymore info about them and how safe they are or any other tips for achieving lactation again I'd love pick your brain a bit!

Read the entire thread, then make your own choice. You are an adult. I think you can see the risks, once you read what has been posted by those who have done it for the reasons it was intended for.
Because of the dangers in relactating without a waiting infant to receive the milk, I am not posting the names of the drugs (NONE of them are hormones) nor the herbs used to bring in a milk supply for an infant.
I am not being judgmental, but when you read the previous posts I have made, from a Lactation standpoint, you will see that "recreational lactation" can be dangerous to your breasts, and is not a part time activity, nor was it meant to be done "just once in a while" can lead to infection and breast damage and in most cases doesn't work.
Please read the entire thread, and take the cautions in the spirit they were intended.

Women with pierced nipples can certainly breastfeed, I've worked with many of them. I've worked with a few women with pierced nipples who have induced lactation to feed an adopted or partner's bio baby. Piercing doesn't effect breastfeeding, just so the jewelry is removed so the baby doesn't swallow it. The piercing itself rarely has any effect on the actual process of lactation.

I have never knowingly helped anyone bring in a milk supply for sexual purposes. I would probably lose my Board Credentials and my Registration and Certification.
If you read the entire thread, you'll learn why it is not a body safe or healthy thing to do.

Agreed! I couldn't breast feed my son tho - he couldn't latch. So would not be sexy for me.

Not gross, but not sexy to me.

Wow i actually just used one, (for my baby), and i guess from an outsider perspective, i could see the draw towards it, but once you do it for non-sexual purposes i don't think that it will be that big of turn on anymore. Like P'Gell said, they HURT, and not in the fun way but in the way that your nipples get all chapped and bleed-y, and then it hurts to wear a bra, and it can just be an awful experience, but i guess that could be due to the fact that i'm still breastfeeding and have a baby at my nipples every other two hours. But hey, if you'd still like to go try it, go for it. i know the curiosity would kill me and i know you can get cheap ones for like twenty bucks

Simply doesn't sound sexual to me. xD I always thought of breast milk as a natural occurrence after pregnancy to feed the child, and nothing more. If I were ever pregnant, I might let my lover(s) have a drink, just for...fun? But I can't see it turning me on.

Well you might want to hold off on the idea until after you have a few kids. My wife breastfed all 3 of our children and inorder to keep up she has to use a breast pump while we are working. So id say its just the opposite of sexy. Im sure that she gets a certain amount of satisfaction from feeding our daughter but probably not from a pump.

I think of it more like my Hoover vacuum, having used one for many months. As for "lactating for sexual gratification"? Not sure I get that one.

I mean, whatever you are into. But, as a Lactation Consultant, I can tell you, if you are NOT lactating, it will hurt like hell. And not in a good way! Lactating breasts secrete a lubricant from the Glands of Montgomery (those little bumps on your aureole that look like pimples or goosebumps) and when you are not lactating, they Glands don't secrete much at all.
Also, the better quality pumps yield better results and have more consistent suction PSI and cycle times.
Cheap pumps, like the Evenflo, the Gerber, the Isis, the "Gentle Expressions" do NOTHING but cause pain, not good, sexy pain, just shitty pain. Any pump under $300.00 (with about one exception, the Medela Double Ease) is usually poor quality, can generate so much suction that they actually can cause nipple and breast damage and HURT like hell. Cheap pumps can generate, in a very inconsistent way,up to 10 times the neccesary suction, and cycle times that keep the negative pressure on the breast for TOO LONG of a time and it can cause breast damage to use these cheap ass pumps. That is why breastfeeding mothers should NEVER buy a breast pump from places like Baby's R Us, Target, KMart, Walmart etc. They carry crappy products, and the people who work there are clueless about HOW the product works, and which product is best for each woman's needs.
I need to tell you. I have certainly used breastpumps myself, while nursing my own children. I also sell and rent high quality hospital grade pumps for my clients (they are expensive, because a lot of research goes into them, the materials are medical grade, and safe and the suctions and cycles are consistent and similar to what a human infant generates.) and there is NOTHING sexy IMO about pumping your breasts. It's actually a bit of a pain in the ass. I've never heard a woman say she ENJOYS it. It may be necessary if you need to be away from your baby, or your baby can't latch or is hospitalized, but most women see breast pumps as a necessary PITA. And many breastfeeding moms NEVER even need a breast pump. Many just use the baby all the time, which is ideal.
The suction on a good quality breast pump should NOT be strong, and should be very consistent (meaning the PSI are the SAME on every cycle and don't' change as the container fills with milk) in a high quality pump, babies don't generate a lot of negative pressure, and neither should a good pump. I have never felt the least bit stimulated while pumping and NEVER felt the desire to use one while not lactating, and I have at least 20 pumps in my house at all times.
Whatever floats your boat, but I wouldn't buy a cheap one. I've seen serious, deep tissue damage from poor quality pumps. This, in some cases, can actually be permanent. As the FDA refuses to control the quality of breast pumps (urged by the formula companies that they are "not medical appliances" and they ARE!) so many dangerous breast pumps are easily available.
Also, trying to pump a "dry breast" without good preparation can be painful and also harmful. If done properly, say a situation where a woman is going to adopt a baby and needs to generate a supply, or the non-pregnant woman in a lesbian relationship wants to be able to also feed the baby and needs to generate a supply, it is quite safe, but one would need to hire a lactation consultant (they run about $120.00 per visit and up in my area) do the proper preparation, obtain a high quality pump and stick to a regular schedule. I wouldn't recommend just putting a pump on non-lactating breasts, if you aren't trying to make milk for a baby for any reason. less

Comparing having your nipples sucked by a lover to a breastpump is like comparing loving, sexual intercourse with someone you love to having a vaginal probe ultrasound or PAP smear. They have nothing in common, and the latter, medical necessity is far from sexy and feels nothing like a human touch.
