I'm not sure if this is the place for it, I wouldn't consider a threesome necessarily polyamorous, but this was the best fitting forum I could find.

My boyfriend and I are both looking for either a third or another couple to play with occasionally, but I don't even really know where to look for another person or another couple. I don't feel like we can go to a bar and just proposition somebody...haha! So my question to anyone in this type of situation, whether long term or only occasionally is where did you find the other person or people?

i found one of mine in one of my best friends and he is someone that i was working on things with for events and shows a lot and things just evolved. i have also found all of my others in very very good and close friends. if you trust them, then it's a good place to start.

We found our permanent third online in a role playing game. He was my friend for around 3 years before we admitted to being attracted to each other. Sigel and I opened our marriage completely and tend to find playmates, though even still it's not easy to approach someone and say "Hey we'd like to have a playdate with you..." I would suggest getting involved with some online groups that could lead to like minded couples (singles are rare which is why we call them unicorns) who are clean, decent and interested in the same things you are.

Casual encounters on Craigslist. I posted honestly what we were looking for and after weeding out the fakes we met with a girl we thought was going to be a once or twice thing but we have been dating for 6 months now. You never know.

i dunno. my fiance and i have talked briefly about a 3 or 4some in the past. it hasn't been an issue, so it's not something we're desperately searching for. not sure where we would find any extras, much less clean, trustworthy ones. and i seems its more trouble than it's worth at this point in time. hell, we're having trouble just finding time/place to be intimate with each other!! no need for more factors :p
