How does one ask the third to join them?

In a swinger context or with a potential triad partner, how does one ask them to join?

Any good lines or intros?

Apart from:

"My wife has an itch only you can scratch"?

"My wife really digs latino men"?

"Wanna join us"?

Any real-life experiences out there, or just funny lines?

When it hasn't been an online thing, it kind-of comes up as the conversation devolves. When they seem interested in your kinks, you can usually tell, then you can ask, or try to make a date.
As far as putting the feelers out there, 20 questions has been the easiest. Starting with innocent questions leading into, stuff like "what's the craziest thing you've done in bed?"
Good luck.

As a swinger we just simply ask if the person might be interested in a sexual experience. We generally are a bit forward when it comes to swinging. Now if a person is a potential long term partner then it takes a bit more talking and getting to know each other. We don't introduce our swing partners to the kids unless they are more than just playmates. We have made several life long friends but only one other true partner.

I guess I need to go out and interact with more people. Have no experience with this, so any kind of first attempt may sure turn out awkward!

My fiance and I have put some feelers out there every now and then. He simply asked one of his friends one day while they were talking about sex, "Hey, my fiance and I are interested in a threesome if you are, too, we'd like you to join." It was a simple enough question and he politely declined. Buuut, I think he declined because he has some unresolved issues with women and sex.

That's a little straightfoward! I dont have any friends right now, so that would be difficult. Plus, the wisdom I hear is to keep your (regular) friends separate from lovers.

I want to start roleplaying with my wife, in a way I guess this is practice for how I would invite the guy in.

It was really straightforward, I thought. This is kind of one of those on again off again friends of his. Otherwise, we agreed that it would be someone that was not a regular friend.

Roleplaying is fun!
