Cuckolding (thoughts on the matter)

Contributor: Sex'и'Violence Sex'и'Violence
My wife and I had been attracted to the idea of a cuckolding relationship for quite some time when we got pregnant and decided to put these things on hold. We spoke about it outside of a sexual context, and fetishized it in the bedroom. I'm sure that if/when we finally do venture into a polyamorous type of relationship this will be the route we will be taking (her having the freedom to "sleep around" and my own sex life being restricted to her).

For those who are uncertain of what cuckolding entails, the following is taken from wikipedia:
"A cuckold fetishist is aware of the spouse's activity and derives sexual pleasure from it. [...] But among fetishists the pose of reluctance—the victimization of the cuckold—is a major element of the kink[...] In the fetish cuckolding subculture, the female is typically sexually dominant, while the man takes on a submissive role, only becoming involved with her or her lover when she permits it"

I am curious what you all think of this dynamic, and what dynamics you have found work best for yourselves.

Cuckolding CAN be a unique and fascinating type of poly relationship though, generally, it is seen as a very transient thing where poly relationships tend to be as encompassing (and lasting) as monogamous relationships.

In my poly relationship there is an element of cuckolding in my relationship with Arch. At this point in our relationship he prefers to be submissive to me and enters into my relationship with Sigel only when permitted. As is usual with any non-hierarchical poly structure he knows he's free to choose and invite Sigel in but he prefers to allow me to be the one 'in charge'. It is merely an element of our relationship, though, and he doesn't see it as humilliating.

On the whole I don't think it's a bad practice unless the cuckolded member feels like they are being abused and either resents or doesn't have a clue it's going on. If you are both happy doing this then take precautions and have fun!

My boyfriend and I have been together for over 3 years. Within the last few months we've gotten into cuckolding. For the first time, he was in the room and he participated a bit. We've gotten to the point where I date other guys. I always keep him informed and give him pics and/or videos. Sometimes he is present and other times he is not. Feel free to ask any questions. I'm an open book

I believe there are other definitions of cuckholding. In this groups opinion, is it cuckholding if the husband is dominant? Have been researching this and haven't found if that is what is truly my fantasy.

For me, the husband, I would have to be present each time. At least for now, maybe if it were a relationship based sharing then not necessarily. And I would participate with both my wife, and the guy orally.

So is this a cuckhold fantasy? MMF?

Absolutely the cuckold could be a female though generally the word itself refers to the practice of a cuckoo laying an egg in the nest of another bird species to be raised as that type of bird. It is generally meant to imply a female getting pregnant with another man's child and passing it off as her husband's.

Definitions change though and certainly a female could be a cuckold or there could be no actual element of dominance and submission as is actually the case with Sigel and I. He is very dominant in our relationship but loves to think about me being with other guys...so yes it is entirely possible.

For me (male) it's definitely an arousing fantasy, even when reading this thread I become a little shaky.

But my wife will never want to try it.

When we first started our poly relationship, we worked around some of these scenarios. Initially, we started with a threesome. It then branched out into "solo-sex" (as we called it) where I would only have sex with one of them at a time. It eventually ended with me being completely monogamous with our third. I can't speak 100% for my first husband, but for my second husband and I, there was never any sexual gratification derived from the idea of me having sex with "the other one". I would agree that as long as everyone is willing and there isn't a victim, do whatever floats your boat.
