There is quite a bit of information on this forum alone about this topic

The difference between Swinging and polyamory is the building of relationships as opposed to having a group of people you simply share sex with. It's more of a degree of involvement in the lives of the other sex partners than anything else. polyamory takes the relationship building to it's more extreme form I guess you could say.
