Special Anniversary Celebrations...

For your Anniversary (dating, married or both) do you have a wonderful memory of your loved one celebrating for you that you would like to share? My husband and I will be having our first anniversary as a married couple very soon and it's always exciting to see what he comes up with (and he feels the same excitement for what I do as well).

Maybe a special trip, gift or a simple gesture that reminds you of how much they care about you...

I would love to hear all of your stories!

~If you have something that is especially horrendous or unbelievable in a "trainwreck" sort of way, feel free to share those stories as well. Love isn't always accompanied by roses and candy!~

My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary last night! He took me out and on the way home he stopped at the furniture store. We have been complaining that we needed a new mattress for at least a year. Well, last night he bought me a new one and we just finished christening it appropriately!

For my birthday the first year we were together, he made me a beautiful dinner. There were flowers, he had dimmed all the lights and had a candle on each stair of our spiral staircase as well as on the mantle, the fireplace and EVERYWHERE. It was an incredible thing to open the door and see. I was so surprised and I still remember that almost 20 years later. He is a romantic at heart I think. Shhh, don't tell anyone.

The first time I ever hung out with my bf of 5 years, we went to a park, and walked around the waterfalls, and went swinging and talked for HOURS. On January 14th, at 10PM at night (happened to be when we were both off work) It isn't our anniversary or anything, it is simply the first day we ever hung out outside of work. It is freezing cold here at that time, but every January 14th since then we go and walk around the falls and swing. Last year we had to break into the construction zone to swing since they were remodeling the entire playground (Thank god they kept the swings lol)
