Congratulations on your engagement! When is your wedding date?
I got engaged a long time ago. My body has changed with getting a little older and having children. Our engagement set for me was a 4 3/4. The diamond fell out years ago when I was at work and we were moving offices. I had thrown a bunch of boxes with my research materials and medical equipment into the hall and the janitor came and got them. I kept ONE box in my office for the things I couldn't find a place for right away. Hours later, I was on the phone with a patient, and I felt my ring with my finger and the diamond was gone. I searched for it and was lucky enough to have found it in the bottom of the one box I kept. That was years ago, and I haven't ever had the ring and diamond reset. A few years ago, after not wearing a wedding ring since the set broke, I told My Man I wanted a wedding ring.
He bought me a beautiful, simple plain white gold wedding band. (You can see it in my videos and most of the pics in my reviews.) We bought a 7 this time, as my knuckles got bigger since I was in college due to health problems and having kids and getting older. It's actually too big on the flesh part of my finger, but it has to fit over my knuckles, plus I get edema in the hot weather, so my hands swell up, and then the damn thing is tight. That 4 3/4 set will never fit me again.
My husband's original wedding ring was a 12 or a 13. He has arthritis and has broken so many fingers and also works with electronic, so he never wears a wedding ring. I bought him a larger one when we were in Arizona at a Native American store, made with silver by the indigenous people there. I think it was a 14 or a 15 (hard to find sizes.) He lost it a few days after we got back while jumping on our friend's trampoline. His original wedding ring is under the finial of a lamp in our house. I always know where it is.
