We used to buy batteries just to keep in the toy chest, but we have been moving to more rechargeable toys, so that isn't an issue nearly as much as it used to be.

I have separate batteries for mine but sometimes I need to "borrow" from the house.

I typically pull batteries aside for specific uses. But I like rechargeable batteries more.

My dad buys batteries in bulk for the entire family to use, so I just grab some of those. Most of my most-used toys are rechargeable or electric, these days, though.

I always keep an eye on the household supply so there are spares for just about any outage.

Oh yes, the batteries. We have several ones near the toys.
The next toys I will buy will all be rechargeable.

I really hate the fading power of batteries. Day one the vibe sounds like a lawnmower and lifts you out of space. After several days it becomes a challenge to get over the edge at all.

Hate it.

I prefer rechargeable toys, or rechargeable batteries. However, I've been known to steal remote control batteries if I'm desperate!
