I had a thought: what if someone read Erotica aloud... that could be Nice. Just listen...

Does this exist? I don't even know how it would manifest: maybe audio books, maybe readings in person, I just can't imagine that I am the first to think of this.

Has anyone heard of this or experienced it? Does anyone else like this idea?

Sounds like a fun idea, to maybe have a partner do it. There might be some books with slightly erotic parts that are already audiobooks, not sure. I think I saw something on this site by Penthouse that may be similar to what you want. Penthouse Between the Sheets, audioerotica. (Dont know how to link it) but if you search that you should find it. Hope that helps

How funny you would ask this when just earlier today....i read some erotica to my sweetheart...so yes it does exist and it works...my husband lovesssss it!!!!

Yup, you can get a lot of erotica as an audiobook. Eden doesn't carry many, but if you have a look on iTunes, you can at least see the type of thing that's out there. There are also a few free erotica podcasts, but the quality wasn't great in my personal experience. I'm sure there must be good ones out there, but I lost motivation on hunting through them.

Erotica when read to you while you and your partner are apart... is just amazing!!!!!

There are many sites out there that are dedicated to written erotica, that you can read to your partner. Many of these sites also have a section for audio stories as well.

That makes me wonder which people would be horrible choices for audiobooks.

We soak in the jacuzzi together daily, when my husband comes home from work or right before bedtime. Sometimes he will read to me. I love it when he reads erotica to me because he places the inflections right where he wants them, but for my benefit. I can read the same story and not get hardly anything out of it, but when he reads it, I get flustered.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this to you. EF does sell a selection of audio erotica: link I'm not much for listening, so I can't vouch for the stuff, but there is quite a bit of different choices there.

Have you checked your local area to see if they have any readings? Depending on where you live you might be able to find something through a local store.

I am a very aural person and have done this before.
My best friend and I both write erotica and have since high school. We used to exchange stories. Every once in a while we would read our stories out loud to each other. Always left me hot and bothered.

He reads other stories to me a lot, so I wonder why we haven't tried reading it to each other. I think that would be much more sensual than having somebody I didn't know reading it.

We read to each other, although we haven't specifically read erotica together (yet!). I mentioned to him that I write it, and so now every phone conversation begins with "will you read to me tonight?" I haven't gotten the courage to read him my stuff, but I'm working on it!

I write erotic stories about my wife and I just for us. Then she will read half of the story while I play with her and then we switch. It's always fun to see how long she can last before she can't focus on reading anymore.
