Recently, I had an experience with a jelly material toy, but the smell was so bad that I couldn't enjoy it. It brought me back to when I did a sense test and discovered that when my eyesight is not used (as in the dark or when blindfolded) that my sense of smell is the strongest. I found this out by trying to visualize an apple when my eyes were closed, but finding that I could only visualize an orange because my friend was eating one and I could smell it.

Typically sex is done at night in the dark. In addition, a majority of people rely on their sense of sight as their strongest sense for everyday events. Given that foreplay and sexual stimulation rely on a variety of the five senses, I am curious to see what people see as their strongest sense during foreplay and sex.

Touch gets me aroused the most, but sight and sound are also very important to me. This was a really nice post. It made me really stop and think about what I'm really feeling. For me, it has to be touch. It's the feel of clothing slipping away from skin. It's how different skin can feel depending on whether it's lightly caressed or gripped hard. It's the different textures, soft hair, soft skin, pillowy, taut, hot or cool, dry or wet. Thanks for all the interesting comments. Funny that it should surprise me that most say touch. I guess my thoughts were on the fact that touch for me, I was thinking of me using my touch on someone else, and while that arouses me, its not my primary. Silly me in not thinking about someone else touching me and how it feels. I guess, I still have the most turn on by smells, even though touch is important as well as taste, sight and sound.

Just thought it would be a kick to see how others work their senses.
