Oil massage candles look like regular candles that melt into a massage oil when lit. When there is a sufficient pool of oil (usually after twenty minutes), you blow out the candle and then use the oil by either pouring it out or dipping your fingers into it. It stays fluid (and warm) for a good five minutes, then becomes a little more solid but still pliable. It never gets hot enough to burn because oils melt at a much lower temperature than wax does. As long as it stays in contact with the body it'll remain smooth, fluid, and warm so you can continue your massage for however long you want.
