How to relax and enjoy massage

Contributor: LoveDrunk LoveDrunk
I kind of feel as if I have a hard time relaxing and enjoying massage. Wether it be professional or just at home, I can never just let my muscles melt. For some reason it just doesn't do it for me. Are there any tricks that help you guys relax during a massage or does the massage relax you enough on its own?

I typically have really tight and sore muscles so I want to be able to enjoy massage. I know it's a weird question, but I don't know what to do. Hopefully somebody can offer me some tips for my strange situation. Thanks.

Oops, sorry I double posted this one. If one thread could just be deleted that would be great. Thanks!

I have the problem of thinking too much. My body can relax just fine, but my ind is always worrying about all the things that are stressing me out.

I find that just concentrating on the person's hands literally melting into my body helps relieve my muscle tension. Imagining that my muscles are like Play-Doh and the person's hands are literally sinking in tends to be helpful.
