How to relax and enjoy massage

Contributor: LoveDrunk LoveDrunk
I kind of feel as if I have a hard time relaxing and enjoying massage. Wether it be professional or just at home, I can never just let my muscles melt. For some reason it just doesn't do it for me. Are there any tricks that help you guys relax during a massage or does the massage relax you enough on its own?

I typically have really tight and sore muscles so I want to be able to enjoy massage. I know it's a weird question, but I don't know what to do. Hopefully somebody can offer me some tips for my strange situation. Thanks.

actually it's not a good idea to drink before getting a massage, especially if you're getting one to work out tension.

I know some of my clients have a hard time relaxing too. I think some people are just wired that way. Everyone has different things that relax them, and massage may just be something that isn't relaxing to you. That's perfectly fine.

Maybe try and focus on something that is relaxing to you rather than focusing on the massage. Maybe think of laying out at the beach in the sun, or maybe a nice fluffy bed.
