This is really hard. I think the worst thing to discover is that they are previously the opposite sex, then the second one would be they are a psycohobath, dont bath regulary, that they are related to me, then criminal record...I dont really care about a criminal record who doesnt have one now days?

Was this meant to be a poll? Because my answers don't necessarily fit your options.

I don't think I'd mind if they'd had gender reassignment surgery as long as they were honest about it, and it's not something everyone is comfortable sharing right away.

My biggest problem would be a drug addiction or past history of being an abuser. Criminal record would be a very high problem on my list as well - very few people I know have one, I don't think it's common.

Things like not bathing regularly would probably be noticeable from the first meeting, and if they were a true 'psychopath', that would be as well. A sociopath would be hard to spot though, and they can be an emotionally dangerous group.

They were talked into it by a mutual friend and they're only doing it as a favor to the friend, so they make it plain that they'd rather have their fingernails ripped out than be with you.

Negative ten interest ... yeah, that's heartbreaking to discover.

I think the worst thing would be that our values clash so bad we can't even have a good conversation. Its not as horrific as other options but its pretty awkward to see things totally differently than the person you are dating.

Otherwise it would have to be criminal record, or domestic violence issues. I would never want to be with someone who could hurt me in any way.

I randomly googled him online, being bored.

I discovered he had raped and impregnated his fifteen year old cousin and had two cases of battery.

I flipped out, and told my dad. He flipped out cause the website said they didn't know his location... and I was 19.

Man... did I get put on lockdown after that incident. XD

Do you mean, for example, a Tea Party candidate, who is in the KKK?

A friend once introduced me to a nice woman, but that was as far as it went, once she told me she was an investment banker.

Good enough reason to end it right there, Riccio. You've got taste.

A few years back I was in an open relationship and met a guy I thought was really intelligent and sexy and great, so I arranged for him to meet my primary partner. Within 30 minutes he was actually making horrible homophobic comments and jokes. I was utterly mortified for having misjudged him so badly and introducing him to my partner, who has a rather violent reaction to such behavior.

From your list, the psychopath would be the most troubling.

Thanks, Chilipepper. I really believe that money isn't everything, and when she began talking about money, to find out how much I had - how much I did not have would be more accurate - I knew that it was hopeless.

"[H]e sees in them not human beings, but hands, as he constantly calls them to their faces; he insists, as Carlyle says, that”Cash Payment is the only nexus between man and man." Even the relation between himself and his wife is, in ninety-nine cases out of a hundred, mere”Cash Payment". Money determines the worth of the man; he is”worth ten thousand pounds". He who has money is of”the better sort of people", is”influential",and what he does counts for something in his social circle. The huckstering spirit penetrates the whole language, all relations are expressed in business terms, in economic categories."F. Engels _The Condition of the Working-class in England_.

I think the criminal record thing might be the worst part of it, especially if they don't tell me or keep it secret. Then it's like cya dude, no thanks.

Let's see, the blood relative thing is creepiest, but the psychopath thing is damn scary and more likely to cause actual trouble, since I'd assume the distant cousin would at least end in mutual dumping, while the psychopath may turn stalker.

Criminal record? Meh, that could mean anything, so I'd need to know more. An ex-con who is not a psychopath is quite possibly still dateable, depending on the circumstances. Some people have records for really stupid reasons, and others can genuinely change.

The bathing thing? Yuck, but is it a longstanding habit or are there circumstances -- I wouldn't dump someone on suspicion of not bathing, necessarily, but sex would be out in the meantime.

Previously the opposite sex? Shocking, maybe, but not a panic-button type revelation. If I was already attracted enough to this person to be dating them, I don't think that fact would change my mind.
