I'm currently starting to date someone that i work with and were hiding it from the rest of our coworkers till we figure out how to go about it. What are your ideas about it and do you have any stories you'd like to share?

There's an old saying...
"Never get your pussy where you get your paycheck"
It's almost always a bad idea. If you break up, then what?

I've never dated people I've worked with, and wouldn't. I know a lot of people are highly against it -- they say it's a bad idea because it's a recipe for disaster. I can see how it could be a disaster, but if you really do have an interest in the person, why not try it out?

Nine times out of ten, it's against company policy especially if one person is a subordinate to the other. There's just a whole lot of badness to be found there.

It really depends on the type of job, company size, hierarchical relationship etc. I've dated at least a handful of people I worked with, but not at every job either. Sometimes it's just the best way to meet someone. I've never had any big drama issues, but I tend to avoid drama and dramatic people altogether too.
That said, I was careful and selective about it. Sometimes there were women I was flirtatious with, but never got the courage to blatantly go after or they were involved at the time and nothing ever happened.
