So I am recently single and I am seeing someone already. I am a Southern Country Girl who is seeing a black men This is TOTALLY out of my norm, we spent a wonderful day together this past week. We went to breakfast and out to run errands, some places we went we didn't get rudeness or stares. When we were at breakfast we dealt with a rude waitress and I had an older white man walk by an give me a dirty look I am NOT use to being with someone outside of my race. So my question for those who date outside you race how do you deal with it and how do you handle the people who judge you or those who go with the stereotypes of how you will be treated? Tips and advice would be helpful

Say piss on them. Its your personal choice and not theirs. Just focus on you and you boyfriend and not on what everyone else thinks.

Anyone who judges you like that isnt worth your time to even think about. Its amazing how stupid some people still are its none of their business in the least what you do. Thay give you a dirty look then stick your tongue down your mans throat. They shouldnt pick on you just because their own lives suck so stick your happiness in their face.

Thanks mockg and xcapricax,I appreciate you responses I hadn't expressed my experience fully with my new partner til tonight we actually just had a HUGE conversation about some of the remarks people have made to me when finding out I was talking to a black me. I am NOT ashamed of who I am talking to in fact he makes me really HAPPY (: which is all that matters that I am respected and treated right. I just really wish people could keep their thoughts and comments to themselves. My partner was ONLY worried about what my parents would think and they are all for it and he is happy about that. We talked and he told me that no matter what its pretty much me and him against the world.
He is truly amazing an so far is WAY better then some of the guys I have been with in the past

I have been with a black man, and seen the looks that a woman gets. I actually enjoyed the looks, as most came from jealously. My husband and I have actually discussed doing a threesome with a black man. It makes for incredible fantasy for us, and maybe sometime.............; O

I don't pay much attention to others when I'm on a date. I keep my attention focused on my date & what we're doing. so, I have no clue whether anyone approves or disapproves. of course, I live in CA which is much more liberal about interracial couples than most southern states.

*Black chick with a white guy* I haven't run into any race issues thus far during the times we're out together. If I did run into any problems I would jus ignore them. Skin color doesn't say anything about who a person is so they don't get to judge.

jus think of it as even if you were there with someone who was the same race as you but was missing a leg....people might stare too. It's ignorance. Sweetie just be happy. You two laughing and smiling is what will kill them the most. you are doing NOTHING wrong. Idk if you've ever watched step up but if you haven't do it.....listen to the guy when his girl is expressing how people make her feel. Shit watch it with him and cuddle him while you do it....Know why? Because you deserve to be happy a human is a human.
