We met at work. I started working in the Apparel area at the local Walmart and he worked in the back unloading trucks. Eventually, I just got sent over to unload trucks as well because there was not enough people back there. We just started talking online after a while and eventually I asked him out.

I interviewed to be a roommate in his house. The interview lasted two hours. The instant I arrived home, he called to say they chose me and reduced my rent.

So I lived with him before we actually started dating. He told me later that he decided during that interview that he would marry me.

Warning: text wall ahead!

Most people look at me cross-eyed when I tell them this story...

He and I both worked in the deli at a grocery store, and literally from the first moment we laid eyes on each other, (with chef coats and dorky hats on, mind you) we both felt something. My boss was making fun of me, asking why I was so red, and could tell right off the bat I had developed an instant crush.

We worked together a lot, and talked all the time. I found out he had a girlfriend, so I was really disappointed. But I knew we had a connection so I wasn't going to give up hope.Of course, there was also the little tiny fact that he was supposed to be leaving for Marine boot camp the same time I was going on vacation to Florida.

We kept flirting and started to talk online, so the day before I was supposed to leave for vacation, I decided I had nothing to lose. A mutual coworker dropped a hint to him, (because I didn't want to be a homewrecker!) and minutes later he was asking me if I wanted to hang out. He told me he wasn't the type to cheat, and that he was going to break up with his girlfriend because he had way more fun at work with me than he did on dates with her. We hung out that night, and then talked on the phone for hours every day while I was on vacation.

He ended up not joining the Marines because he found a reason to stay. After almost four years, we're still very much in love

I could go into how his mother kicked him out of the house because of me, and then my mother let him stay with us because she didn't want him to be homeless, but that's a whole different story. Needless to say, we've practically lived together since we first started dating. Not ideal, but we've made it work

My boyfriend and I met about a year ago. Long story...TEXT WALLLLL!

My then husband met my boyfriend at work and hit it off right away. They are both huge nerds and really, really into Star Wars. They became best friends pretty quickly. So I finally met him a couple of months later, and I thought he was hot. I even told my husband so. We shared things like that, and he didn't mind.

A few weeks later, my husband and I set him up with my best friend. They seemed really good together. She moved in with him after about a month. Everything seemed great. Then one day, she broke up with him out of nowhere and moved out while he was at work. She wouldn't even return his texts after that. He was crushed. That's kinda when everything happened.

He and I started talking more over facebook. I felt responsible for his heartbreak since I had set them up. My husband worked a lot, so he and I started hanging out more. Things had been bad between my husband and I at that point, but I honestly didn't have anything on my mind but friendship. I didn't have any other friends. We started hanging out and drinking sometimes, with and without my husband. I (drunkenly) admitted I had a crush on him (that developed out of nowhere and really surprised me). Then one night, we were drinking and my husband was at work...and things happened. I was guilty and told my husband. He decided he couldn't forgive me. I later started seeing the friend (who obviously no longer hung out with my husband), and eventually moved in. We've been together for around eight months now.

It wasn't an ideal situation, and I'm not proud of it. I'd go back and do it differently if I could, but it is what it is. I'm happy with my boyfriend, but it would have been nice to be with him without all the heartbreak first.

Ditto... but, um, slightly more than ten years ago Dated off and on through HS, broke up for a couple years after he thought it was getting "too serious". I got engaged to someone else, which fell through when he cheated on me in my OWN apartment. Ran back into each other in college. When he finally asked me out, I said "sure, but this time it's permanent". And it was. Engaged 11 months later, and a 15 months after that were married. Married 4.5 years now and still very happy. I still don't let him live down that "too serious thing" though!

We dated for about 9 months in high school, then broke up for about 8 years, and got back together January of 2009. We somehow managed to stay close friends during those 8 years, and I know his girlfriends hated it, but I think part of that was because on some level, they knew he went for them because they reminded him of me. We're getting married 3 weeks from this Saturday

We were introduced by a mutual friend. I was head over heels in love from the moment I laid eyes on him. It helped too that he made me laugh life crazy and gave a heck of a shoulder massage. We lived 90 miles away from each other and spent almost every weekend together, until I moved in with him 3 months later. I married him 2 months after that and we've been together for 17 yrs.

Well.... I had only my ex husband 4 months before so I was in the middle of a wild streak and on a roll! Vodka and I were like this *fingers crossed* and with 4 phone numbers and full of liquid courage already, I approach this good looking guy on the edge of the dance floor and boldly asked him why he wasn't on the dance floor. He had a cheeky grin and said he would if he had someone to dance with, so that was all the invitation I needed... 4 hours and lots of kissing (which I started) later, I asked him to come home with me and well... he never left! 10 years later we are blissfully happy and fall more in love every day (sappy I know, but all true)!

An online sex-related forum. We started chatting and had a date, then another, then another, and then ended up in a relationship even though we were not looking for a new relationship since we both already had one (which we have since ended with our prior SOs).

He was my best friend's mother's boyfriend. It's a completely screwed up story and not something I run around telling people because I was still in high school when I met him. We just got on really well and things kind of went from there. And fourteen years later (today is actually the anniversary of the first concert we went to with each other, fourteen years ago) we're still very much together and going strong.
