Just wondering how many people on here are married, dating, engaged, and so on. I myself am married and have been married for close to 3 years! What about you?
What is your relationship status?

I'm technically married and dating, as odd as that sounds. But I've been separated for almost 18 months and the divorce will be over with soon.

So me and my significant other have been dating on and off for seven years and have talked about marriage. We've classified our relationship as "pre engaged" basically meaning we have the intention to get married one day but we think were to young at this point to get married.

In September my husband and I will be married 26 years. Though we go back farther than that. I actually met him 35 years ago.

My wife and I are quite happily married just over 5 years now, and things couldn't be better.

I have been in a committed relationship for years. We would be married if it were legal in this country. I had to select "other" because there was no room for non-traditional couples. One day when he is fully transitioned we will be married legally. Or when this country gets its act together and is fully equal.

I'm all set to get married in a few months

sweet sally
I chose dating, but I guess I should have really chosen other. Technically, I'm still married, but I have been living with/dating someone else for 7 months.
The divorce should be final in a few months.
I couldn't be happier with my current partner. I was basically married to my roommate.

Currently dating with the intent to get engaged and thusly get married. But no proposal yet!

The guy I have been seeing for like 6 months and I say we are unofficially official lol
I think this means that we aren't together but we aren't seeing anyone else. Yea its pretty complicated but it works for us. We just don't get to see each other very often.

We are married, without actually being married. We have been together for 5 years, have a 2 year old and one on the way.

I am promised to my guy. Not exactly engaged, but more serious than just dating. We have plans to get engaged as soon as I graduate.
07/28/2010
I could say single, I could say dating, I could say engaged, but overall, we're just messed up. HA! So that's my other. At the moment, I have no idea honestly. How about we say...we're having sex. There we go, that fits.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3.5 years. About 2 years ago we exchanged promise rings, which basically signified that we planned to get married one day. We are both going to grad school in the near future and decided it was best for us to finish our educations before we got married. So, it will probably be another 3 years or so before we make it official

I chose other because we are married and poly.

Other - Divorced.
It's not that hard to say and it's not as contagious as the media likes to portray it. In fact, several of my real life friends are getting married during the aftermath.

I feel like "Other". I've been with my significant other for 11 years, but "dating" isn't the appropriate term in my opinion, nor is "engaged". It's always been a very happy and peaceful relationship, but we don't feel a great need for marriage. We have considered marriage for practical reasons, though. And as an excuse for a big party.

I've been with my partner for 7 1/2 years. We're getting married in about 2 weeks. So engaged/married seems to fit well!

I guess I just assumed divorced people would put single since they are technically single again. There's nothing wrong with people getting divorced if it's not for them. My mother has been married plenty of times. I just didn't think to put a divorced option. Sorry!

I didn't mean to offend about non-traditional couples! I still assumed they could also choose engaged or dating, whether it was a man and woman, two men, two women, etc.

I chose the infamous "other", because we're not married or technically engaged, but dating doesn't seem like the right word to describe our relationship. We're fully committed to each other.. and we plan on getting married when we can afford it. I don't know, it just feels wrong to say we're "just dating". We live together, and are practically joined at the hip. We already act like an old married couple too! Lol. Always bickering over ridiculous things, and then the next minute joking around.

Been with my boyfriend for a year, in an open relationship. Our current arrangement is that we can date/sleep with other people as long as ours remains the primary relationship, and that we are open and honest about what we are doing.

Well that's good if that works for you! Not something for me though. As long as you all are happy, I guess that's a good choice for you guys!
