This week on EMandLO.com, we asked our Wise Guys what they wish they had known about relationships when they were younger. We bet their answers will make you wish you could travel back in time to date them... or just give them a hug. Anyway, what do you wish you could have said to YOUR younger self about relationships?

"Believe it or not, men will find you attractive. Plenty of them. Right now you're just Jailbait, that's the only reason they're ignoring you (and you know the reason why guys your age are ignoring you - they're teenage males). So, really, you don't have to marry the first one who showed interest in you when you hit twenty-one because you didn't believe anyone else would offer ... you didn't give the really decent, mature ones a chance. And - please - don't marry that first one! You'll save yourself eleven years of celibate hell and dead-end living."

I wish I had known that the movies lied. Real life relationships aren't remotely like the romcoms. When you get your real life "fireworks" moment, you just might miss it because it didn't play out or "feel" like it does in the movies.

This is so true. I always say that movies end where real life picks up and that's part of the reason we have unrealistic expectations.

Especially Disney movies. I grew up thinking that there was a Prince Charming waiting for me, and while he is my prince and he is charming, our life certainly didn't play out the way of a Disney Princess.
