To add to a poll created by vixen1992, which asked how many times we've all been IN love...
I'd like to know how many true loves everyone feels they get in a lifetime. It was discussed on Sex and the City once, and Charlotte said you only get 2...that being said, I'm scared and hope to God this isn't true.
What's your opinion?

i think it's way more than 2. it depends on how many times you are willing to open your heart.

I don't know that there is a set number. I think it just depends on if you find that person(s) at the right time in your life.

I think it's anything that you make it.

If someone goes into things with a mindset of "I can fall in love with anybody" they will be subconsciously more prone to fall in love, eh? Maybe, that's what I think

No idea... it all depends on the people involved. For some it will be ZERO as they don't even have an idea what true love is or how it would feel like and for others it may be 10+ if they have many broken hearts and go through several relationships knowing what true love is but never having it returned to them.

On SITC the girls also decide that our friends are our soul mates, and that lovers are just people with whom we can have a good time.

I don't really believe in 'true love' just love. I think people can fall into love as often as circumstances and emotion allow.

There is no number. Sometimes people lose their ability to truly trust an emotion after being hurt again and again.
