A few threads have got me to wondering, what the top relationship status is for the community of EF for some time now.

Happily married for 18 years this year, and together for 25 (we met in high school).
05/03/2009
My partner and I are basically married. We've been together 6+ years now and are engaged and have been for over a year. We've just had enough weddings in the last year and half that we decided to wait a little.

Married but poly...so maybe that should have been other, but hey...

Happily married for 25 years this month!!! )

Dating/kind of engaged right now. We're high school sweathearts, but he joined the Air Force and just I decided to finish college in our city. We were originally planning on tying the knot and having me move and all, but there's no hurry. Plus, there are no schools I could go to where he's living right now.

Been with my guy for almost 3 1/2 years, and it's been long distance the whole time. We're from the same area, had a few of the same friends, and for some reason never met until the summer before I started college. Go figure. We're mad about each other (well, at least I hope the feeling's mutual) and will most likely settle down together as soon as I'm done with school. Two more blasted years :-/

I clicked married cuz we're permanently engaged.
05/03/2009
i clicked other- we've been engaged for 4 years and getting married in Oct.

I'm doing the whole dating scene thing right now so it's all good i guess... I'm only 20 and can't see myself getting married right now...
05/03/2009
Married for nearly 14 years.
05/03/2009
Alas, for I am all lone. =( I'm not used to being alone; it's really odd!

This one is tricky for me, I clicked single but I've been dating several girls, in the actual sense of taking them on dates and getting to know them rather than trying to hookup.
I feel I am single cause as of now none of the dating is sexual or exclusive. After five years of monogamy it's weird, but also amazing to find out how many beautiful women are around.
I feel you Backseat For the most part I am utterly alone...I am still not used to waking up alone

I chose dating, but it's an odd sort of not quite, so I almost chose Other. We've been dating for 3 1/2 years, and we've decided to get married... but we're not engaged yet. We're waiting until I graduate, at least, possibly longer. So we're more committed than long-term dating, but the whole engagement/marriage thing is on hold until at least one of us has finished our undergraduate degree.

I'll be married 4 years in just a few months.

I picked "other" because I'm in a serious relationship, which I feel is past "dating," but we aren't engaged or married. We're living together and it's great. I'll marry him one of these days...probably more for legal reasons or extended family preferences than for any other reason. A signature on paper and/or rings shouldn't change our relationship, but I guess I'll see!
@Perish - I wish there had been more options but I'm glad you didn't put "It's complicated" as one (too Facebook-ish)

I meant to put up a couple more options actually but i wrote the options up and posted the thread at different times, i guess i forgot to add the rest in between that.

Single, but with a serious b/f, not living together @ present but spend most of our time together. Also have a g/f who I see, she also has a b/f. My b/f joins us sometimes. Yea, checked dating?

Married, will be living separately for a year, looking for a gf, and deeply in love with someone I no longer have a physical relationship with but see everyday, that is also leaving for a year. OMG how screwed up am I?

It's cool, I like this poll. I've been wondering how many people here are taken vs. single vs. other stuff, too.

Married for 17 years...lived together for just over 20 in total.

I selected dating but I am in a serious relationship of 4 1/2 years. We will get married eventually but the timing is not right for now. I think once I finish college and I get settled down my partner will propose but for now everything is quite dandy.

Married going on 3 years in June.

My husband and I will be married 25 years this September. But we go back 32 years.

Married for 5 years, we literally JUST had our anniversary.

We will celebrate 25 years the 20th of this month...but we dated seven years prior to getting married. We went our seperate ways, each got married, then divorced, and back together. So if we count the time between our first dating round and the this round, it would be 32 years too!
