Nothing wrong with mcdonalds. maybe he doesnt have a lot of money. As long as you have a good time, it shouldn't really matter where you go.

Not at all. My first date was Jack in the Box...and I married the man. We had a hell of a lot of fun...that's all that mattered. We still go (8 years later) just for a quick date night.

My first "date" with my husband was at Subway. And we went Dutch. *Gasp*

It depends on the couple! I love McDonalds (I know, I know, I have a death wish) and I wouldn't mind a first date there because I'm not picky...for me those dates are often more fun because they're low pressure. But if it's not up to your expectations I think it's okay to communicate that!

Like everyone else has said, it depends. I would hate it because I hate McDonald's. But if my date took me to, say, Taco Bell? Hell yeah.

My first date my boyfriend got me some pizza, and we sat around in his friend's house playing XBOX... and in the middle of the night he and I talked about everything til seven am. It was lovely. It doesn't matter where he takes me, as long as his intentions are good.

Money isn't the big picture of a relationship

Our first date was a movie and we walked to the theater because we were too young to drive. That was Sigel.
Now with Arch he took me to a mid-range restaraunt and movie.

My first date with my HS sweetie was to Captain D's. We're still wonderful friends and I still enjoy Captain D's!

I LOVE Maccas. I'm big on all the fancy dining so Maccas would do me!
I love Subway too!

Nah, it's only sad if that's how you want to look at it. Personally I enjoy the less expensive places to go more than others just because it's more laid back. It's easier to get to know someone when you're relaxed.

No, that isn't sad at all. My first date with my boyfriend ended with cappuccinos at McDonald's. It doesn't really matter where you go for a date, just really how much you like him and how much fun you had.
