You know, dragging on something because it was painful or you felt that you might hurt the other party involved? Myself-- about five months.
How long have you dated someone past the period of time you should have broken up?

Few months, it was really dumb

A few days or so, I don't like to drag things out. It's not fair to the other person.

I dated my ex for 7 or 8 months after it was "over" and we both knew it. Honestly, we never even really broke up: he just stopped talking to me. That sucked!

I think over a year. It was pretty bad. I know better now. Live and learn

Months over different periods of time... we both knew it was over but our chemistry was so good that we couldn't help sleeping with each other again and again...thus stretching the whole thing

Around six months. I was young and stupid.

About a year. But I didn't lose anything dear to me, so I was lucky.

When I was 17 I dated a guy who I sort of knew was cheating on me. But I kept on dating him, convinced he could change. Biggggg mistake. But everything has worked out in the end!

I stayed with someone for months after I wanted to leave them,. But I wanted to leave because of his pill problem but lived with him. So if I left right then, I feared he would sell all my things. So I waiting until I could have a reason for getting all my things out of the house and then left him.
