Hello guys, I know it's been a while since I started a poll, but there is just so many topics covered on this forums that it's actually hard to come up with something new.

My poll is about giving and receiving flowers while dating or during a relationship. I've never had any and I am starting to wonder if there is a point where it has become old-fashioned or even lame???

So my first question is: Have you ever given or received flowers?
The other question is: What is your age group?
And do you have any opinion or stories to share about your experience?

Wow, I fail, I set up the poll to be a single choice answer. If an admin can do magic and actually edit that to multiple, it would be sweet.

tried to post yes and 18-20.. get flowers from hubby all the time.

I know some people think it's useless to buy flowers because it does not last.

I like receiving as well as giving flowers, but not as stale gestures when they are expected on Hallmark occasions. I like to give flowers on the spur of the moment, as something to express my affection, or to brighten up someone's day. I've received a humble bunch of wildflowers picked by hand by my date on his way over to my place, and loved them!

I don't think they have time or ability to do that. I think it might be easier to just re-do and then post in here a link to the new improved one?

I prefer to buy flowers myself. The only time I ever got flowers from somebody was in 7th grade from my best guy friend on Valentine's Day ...

Yeah, my lousy husband never bought me flowers.

So I'm old-fashioned and delight in the simplicity and romanticism of flowers. It's also cheaper than jewelry and there's no chance of him picking out something ugly.

Besides, there's something breathtaking if someone goes all out to get something like this ...

I have but Im not a big fan of receiving flowers in a relationship. I'm too suspicious!
Personally, if a partner was to give me flowers, I'd rather they pick them out of the garden or a single wild flower on the side of the road. For me, more thought has gone into it. Means more to me than an expensive bunch of flowers from some shop.

Cant really answer both questions on one poll hun, I've never liked the idea of anyone wasteing money on flowers thats just going to die but im achaully alittle sad i've never gotten any at least once.

lol yes as well as the age group. We don't often buy flowers now but on special occasions here and there. Mostly just pick ones we grow ourselves.

I buy myself flowers, I love the way the scent lights up the room. The only time I saw flowers from my ex boyfriends was after an argument or day after valentine's day. Yeah I dealt with some cheap o's, that's why they're my ex's. lol

Wow, it's quite a pretty flower, it's not one I'm used to seeing in my area, even in flower shops.
