Does your date get bonus points if they open the doors for you on a first date?

Yes.

Of course!

They get triple points if they open the door for anyone, male or female. A genuine consideration for the comfort of others is wonderful. My man also stands for ladies joining or leaving the table, or a sitting conversation, and tends to sit last.

Male here, always open doors for pretty much anyone regardless if I am on a date or not, guess it is my Southern hospitality! Life is too short to not be considerate to others in my humble opinion.

oh totally. even though i like guys who can be dumb and silly like i am, i'd hope he'd act like a gentleman.

Probably not. It's a nice thing to do, but it's not necessarily a big deal to me.

yup and triple point if he helps me into and out of my c oat. The guy that did that for me cashed in his points and upgrade to "husband" status

I open doors for strangers all the time, gender regardless.
If I'm on a date, I expect them to do the same. I'd get miffed if they didn't, or they did for me but closed the door in the face of someone right behind me.

I open/hold doors for everybody by default. (Unless I'm approaching my car directly toward the driver's side... I won't walk all the way around the car to open their door first, because in that case they'd be standing waiting longer than if I just opened my own door and unlocked theirs from inside.)
If somebody opens/holds a door for me I usually wind up bobbing on one foot for half a second before my instinct steps back and lets someone do something nice for me... date or strangers at the hardware store, no matter what.

My current boyfriend will hold doors, close my car door, and push my chair in at a restaurant. I always thought it would die out with the wooing phase, but he still does it years later!
