I'd feel odd giving another man a bunch of flowers, probably because I'd also feel strange if I were on the receiving end. I tend to think of flowers as more of a gift for women, so I only ever give them to my mother.

my wife does not like cut flowers because they dies too fast. I will buy her a flowering plant every now and then. Then she can enjoy it all season long.

Flowers and such are fun, but not required. Maybe for special occasions?

I usually did, but now that my partner and I've been exclusive for just about five years, I bring her flowers much less often than every date.

This is what my husband does as well. I think flowers are outrageously expensive for a few days worth of enjoyment.

I don't really like getting them. Maybe if the guy picked them or something, but buying dead things to watch wilt seems a little silly to me.

It sucks that my generation doesn't do it. I've gotten flowers only once in my whole life (7th grade, Valentine's Day, best guy friend, and I suspect his mother made him) and no other time - even while I was married. Yes, it's expensive and they vanish, but so does a high-class meal.

Being a sentimental romantic in this age is frustrating.

I send flowers just because. Or If my partner had a bad day as a surprise.

I do like receiving flowers upon occasion, but it's not something I normally think about. My mom was allergic to flowers when I was growing up, so my most of my friends/dates would know not to bring any into my house anyway.

I am with you there! I have only been given flowers on a date once. And the sad part was, they were bought from his work (fyi..he didn't work in a flower shop)! I would love for a guy to do things like this. Unfortunately, I think this has gone the way of opening car doors, holding doors open, and pushing in a woman's chair (just to name a few).
