DVD vs Blu-Ray

Contributor: Humor4Fun Humor4Fun
I have only bought porn on DVDs. and I don't have a blu-ray player, but am probably going to buy one sometime soon. I've found that movies in general aren't that much better on BD than they are on DVD, so i just save my money and buy DVDs.

is this similar for porn?

I dunno, but I'm also kinda against the idea of HD and such... I like it when I don't notice how terrible the quality of old movies is compared to what I usually watch...

I've quite enjoyed watching porn on Blu-ray. I only have a few, but they look really great.

I really like Blu-ray. While it doesn't do much for old transfers, a lot of the new movies (and even some of the remastered older ones) look totally stunning. The porn I have in Blu-ray looks great too.

Blu ray is nice. But I would never pay full price for one. They are twice as much as a standard dvd.

While we don't have any porn on bluray, we do have a small collection so far of bluray movies. I do notice the difference, and yes some old movies don't look too good, especially when they are unconverted. I just want to get a newer receiver that has built in hdmi.

To really appreciate Blu-Ray, you MUST have an HDTV. Hooking up a BR player to a regular def. tv won't do it justice.

I know we talked about this somewhere on the forums in the last few months...just don't remember where now.

I've got an HDTV (LCD 46") but haven't really worked up myself to start paying the premiums for blu-ray. Thanks for the replies.

Get a Wii, 360, or PS3. They all use HD connections. The PS3 plays blu-rays. All three get you NetFlix

The Wii isn't HD. It only does SD (480i) and ED (480p) not HD (720p/1080i/1080p)

Totally agree with this. I have had some discussions turn into arguments over this with some of my friends! haha

There is a MASSIVE difference between DVDs and Blu-Rays but the TV must have the right specs.
