Isn't it great how far porn has come since the old VHS tapes??? My hubby and I just found our collection of tapes, yes..tapes, and are amazed at the bad lighting hairdo's and other interesting issues our classic porn has--classic, huh?

Personally, classic is my old truck, my vintage motor bikes and that 'Cuda my hubby wants. But when you look at this porn, I guess classic can also be used to describe it as well. I mean-wow!!

To me, 80s porn splits into two parts. Pre-1984/5, I can totally get down with. That time from about 1978-1984/5 is my favorite period of the classic era.

Post-1985, though... There are still some hot performers, but overall, it was not a good time for porn. Primitive camcorders, Aqua Net everywhere, beholden to terrible scripts because you still needed a plot. The Meese Commission. And so much cocaine. On second thought, the Aqua Net is the least of the problems. I think that European productions during the era were preferable. In any case, very glad we're past that.

Totally agree with you. VHS didn't just kill off the theatres, it practically killed off any type of real "high quality" in the industry.
