A team of Japanese Scientists have developed a new 3D Technology that that allows users to touch, pinch or poke images floating in front of them. I have a feeling that this is going to rock the interactive porn world!

What a great article! Beyond the implications for porn/virtual environments, the article mentioned something I thought was REALLY REALLY awesome:
“This technology could create a virtual museum where visitors, including vision-impaired people, can put their hands on valuable sculptures that are usually untouchable," Nakamura said.
One of my relatives is a sculpting professor and she is severely visually impaired; I'd give anything to be able to go to an art museum with her and have her be able to appreciate it the same way I do, without someone having to interpret it for her.

DAMN IT - there goes my 25th century sci-fi story!!!! (The characters used the same technology to access information from a palm-pilot-sized computer.) (I wrote it back in 2002.)
Being a sci-fi writer in this era sucks the big veiny one ...

This sounds really awesome. I can imagine a lot of good uses for it, even non-porn.

Wow awesome!!

Awesome! Just makes me wonder tho, can the 3D hurt you if it's made so solidified? They speak of holding guns in games, but what about if you're shot with bullets?
Still rather interesting!
