Man marries two women, no consent, wife Facebooks to find out

Contributor: P'Gell P'Gell
This case is not a case of consensual Triadism. This is pure and simple bigamy. This man married a woman, had two kids with her, then married an other woman without bothering to divorce the first one.

He claims his feelings for the first woman should allow him to "invalidate" their marriage. The courts will most likely say no. He's also kidnapped their kids, and their mother hasn't seen them in months.

Just a weird thing I ran across.

My ex-husband's father compartmentalised his life like that - my ex didn't know he had a half-sister until he and his brothers found their father's obituary three years after his death (their parents divorced in the late 70's).

His father was military, so they didn't think it was too weird that he was spending so much time in Micronesia ... turned out the half-sister was born between the times of my ex and his next oldest brother's births. Th obituary said that he had been married to the same woman (mother of the sister) since the early 60's (my ex was born in 68 and his brother in 64), which would have been the same time he was married to my ex's mother. I understood my ex's parents to have had a very violent marriage (part of the divorce costs involved paying for property damage).

Yeah. I don't get it about the Facebook Asshole.

Wow, chili. No wonder that dude was so messed up. You dodged a bullet when you got out, I think.

The wreck of his parents' marriage made him extra monogamous and clingy - it took me near ten years to finally tell him I wanted out (he went so far as to take me away from my family and move across the country). He didn't know about his father's other family until we were five years into our own marriage ... I think it just made things worse.

He used to joke 'I don't have issues, I have volumes'. No kidding.

I bet this kind of thing has been way more common than people realize, the internet is just now sort of 'unveiling' a lot of this kind of behavior.

My parent's marriage had me convinced I would never marry for quite some time!

Pretty glad my marriage is taking me far away from them.
