I found this article in the 'oddly enough' section of Reuters:

I'm glad to see this - I think it's been a long-standing myth that all dancers are uneducated and have no options. They also make a pretty good living, some of the girls I know that dance make more money doing that than I do at my day job. Do you think the education stats would be the same here? Based on what I've seen and the people I know, I don't think as many of the dancers here are as well educated, but I do know that many of them are very happy with their jobs. In addition, most of the dancers I've known have been pleased with how important their personal security is to the club owners and how well its handled. Generally, they change into 'day clothes' after their shift and a bouncer for the club will either escort them to their car, OR bring their car around for them and then escort them still.
What do you think???
